The Current Best Offer (35000 miles) for the Barclays US Airways Mastercard

Over the years, Barclays has had many different offers for the US Airways Premier Mastercard.  The best bonus for the card that I have seen was for 40,000 miles after first purchase.  And one of the best things about the card has been that it is churnable, meaning that you can get it again and again (usually every 3 months).  In addition, Barclays usually pulls credit from Transunion, which is not used much by other banks.

As of now, there are currently 2 available offers.  One of them is the official offer for 30,000 miles after 1st purchase and a different non publicly advertised offer for 35,000 miles after 1st purchase.  Below is a comparison of the two offers.

Offer 1 (Official offer) Offer 2 (the better offer)

No annual fee the first year, the better bonus after 1st purchase, and the 10000 bonus anniversary miles (worth the $89 annual fee) make offer #2 a no brainer for those seeking a US Airways Mastercard.  In addition, you don’t take the risk of being approved for a lower level card with a measly 15000 bonus miles for a $49 fee.  Once you apply, you can check your application status online.  This is the current best available offer for the US Airways Mastercard.

Although I have talked about this a lot, I will say it again that after the US Airways and American Airlines merger is complete, these will become American Airlines miles which will be more valuable than they are currently.  In addition, since the card is churnable as I mentioned earlier, you maybe able to get the card more than once before the merger is complete.

One of my favorite awards using US Airways miles is 90,000 miles business class from US to North Asia which includes China, Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macau, Mongolia, South Korea, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Since the better offer doesn’t have a landing page, consider printing the terms and conditions for proof, although I haven’t heard much about people having problems getting the 35,000 miles as advertised.

Since offers are constantly changing, you can find the best and most current offers for the card on its summary page.
